What’s the Point?
Today is my beautiful wife’s, Lizette, birthday. Yesterday was mine. Sort of a cool occurance having them right next to each other. We get lots of comments about it. This year we’re spending “our” days apart.
She’s home with our kids and I’m in LA learning and growing with a bunch of great people.
I tried to play down my birthday, not just because I crossed over into the beginning of my fifth decade here on this planet, but also because we’re apart. I sort of thought, “What’s the point, we’re not together, I’m sort of old and….” you get the idea.
But I’ve corrected my thinking (positivity in action) and now KNOW that our days (each of them individually) are important; a marking of a transition, a stake to drive; but more each year is a step through a continuing transition, from this world to another. We’re all slowly transitioning, being changed, moving to something new and something that has the potential to be significant. Each birthday is a mark, a celebration of this movement. And I am excited about that!
So I didn’t get to spend my birthday with my best friend, but I did get to be with some great new friends. AND next weekend, Lizette and I are renting a convertable (Mustang!) and driving to Santa Cruz and celebrating this amazing life!
Happy Birthday Babe!

Dude, I agree with russ. You don’t look a day over 48.
Good to see you at the fair man. Keep the shag growing. Looks good. And I never felt the same after I cut my brow.

Eric,
I don’t know how old you are, but you are a great combination of wisdom (usually an old guy thing) and passion (usually a young guy thing), so just let it roll. IMN was a blast and you were a big part of the reason. Can’t wait to hear waht God does in SACTO - and tell Heath to take a break. Peace.

Rick you’re a wise, honest and slightly “off” man of God, but thank you for kind words. I enjoyed IMN as well and meeting all the new folks…especially those who share the passion and deisres.
btw I’m 29.
